[Surfers Against Sewage logo <[link removed]>] Happy New Year, John! As 2026 gets underway, you might be thinking about what you want more of this year. Feeling stronger. Staying motivated. Spending more time outdoors. Doing something that actually matters . ✨ What if this was the year you became the most resilient, motivated version of yourself - while making a real impact for a cause you care about? 🌊 That’s where [Run 47 Miles in February <[link removed]>] comes in. If you’re thinking about doing something iconic in 2026 - this could be it. 🙌 It isn’t about being a “runner”. It’s about choosing to move, connect and take action for clean seas and rivers. 🏃 [Start the year STRONG <[link removed]>] [Group of friends after a run <[link removed]>] What could your 47 miles look like? There’s no right way to do this challenge. Your miles can fit around your life. Let’s break it down. You could: 🐕 Walk the dog a little further 🌳 Go hiking with family or friends at the weekend 🏃 Run with a mate before work or get on the treadmill at the gym 🌊 Take time out in nature just for you 👟 Mix walking, jogging and running - it all counts 47 miles might sound big - but spread across February, it’s totally doable: 💪 1.5–2 miles a day 💪 3–4 miles, three times a week 💪 Short weekday walks + longer weekend adventures You can build up slowly, take rest days, and make it work for you. This challenge is about showing up for yourself and our wild waters, not speed or distance. [Get involved <[link removed]>] [Collage of running fundraisers <[link removed]>] More than just a challenge This could be the year you surprise yourself - you never know where something like this could lead… It could be the start of: ✨ A healthy new habit or hobby ✨ Meeting like-minded people ✨ Feeling stronger - physically and mentally ✨ Finding purpose through action All while standing up to sewage pollution and helping protect the places we love.
