John,
Throughout 2025, educators lived in two realities at once: teaching fractions and grading papers while also mapping exits and quietly calculating safety plans in the back of our minds.
At Teachers Unify, our goal is to bridge these realities—replacing quiet fear with a proactive culture of care. Because of this community, we’ve made incredible progress building safety from the classroom out. Here is how your support helped us lead the way this year:
* Expanded Prevention: Through Project Lockdown [[link removed]] , we equipped thousands of families and educators with secure-storage resources. We moved the conversation from fear to practical action, helping ensure firearms are secured long before a crisis ever reaches a school gate.
* Direct Educator Support: We solidified our Crisis Intervention & Support Team [[link removed]] , the first of its kind dedicated specifically to teachers navigating the fear and aftermath of gun violence. Led by educators who are themselves survivors, we provided trauma-informed guidance to colleagues who otherwise would have been left to navigate these challenges alone.
* A Seat at the Table: Our co-founders and ambassadors traveled the country to ensure educator expertise is at the center of school safety policy. We are making sure that policies are shaped with teachers, not just for them.
This is what educator-led safety looks like, but our work is far from finished.
We are entering 2026 with a clear plan to expand our prevention training, reach more school districts, and deepen our support network for survivors. To sustain these programs and reach the thousands of schools that still need us, we need your continued partnership.
Will you make a New Year contribution today to help us expand this vital work in 2026? [[link removed]]
