Here's an important update, John: We're extending our End of Year Drive one more day. It's not too late to double your impact.

Here's why: In the year ahead, chainsaws and bulldozers could rip apart the Santa Fe National Forest.

It took decades to grow the beautiful ponderosa pines of this forest -- we need to save these trees before they become a bald patch of stumps.

At Environment Colorado, we're standing up and speaking out for our oldest trees, but we need you with us. That's why generous donors will keep matching gifts for one more day.

Until midnight tonight, you can make an even bigger difference for our forests. Get your gift for our forests matched, up to $100,000 nationwide.

Getting the chance to visit our forests can be humbling and awe-inspiring.

Forests are some of the best places to connect with nature and find a sense of peace and calm. Whether you're up before dawn for a sunrise hike or spending an afternoon casting a fishing line, a wild forest is a place like nowhere else.

In some forests, you experience the hush of a deep, dark wood with incredibly dense foliage that blocks out the world around you. Other forests are full of life and sound, layered with the soaring songs of birds, the roar of a rushing river and the rustle of the wind through the leaves.

If our forests lose the protections that keep them wild, we could lose our favorite hiking trails, fishing holes and campgrounds forever.

You can help save all the things we love about the Santa Fe National Forest and every other national forest at risk. Will you donate today?

In 2025, Environment Colorado and our partners worked together to defend our national forests. When we found out 45 million acres of national forest were on the chopping block, we set out to connect with people from all walks of life who enjoy spending time outdoors.[1]

And across the country, hundreds of thousands of Americans made it clear that our wild forests are too precious to open to logging, road-building and mining.

In the coming months, we'll continue our work to make sure people know what's threatening our forests, and give them a chance to do something about it. Your support now will help us expand our reach even further.

Will you be a part of our team of forest guardians? Donate before midnight and your donation will have double the impact.
