In the past few weeks we learned that the DC jail is cooperating with the Trump deportation machine and a local developer is receiving a big payout for building a migrant child detention center in our city. This is NOT what a sanctuary city looks like! Our immigrant communities deserve better than this!

Today we have 2 rapid response actions from our allies that we need you to take to help protect our communities from ICE terror:

1. No Migrant Child Detention Center in DC!
Join Many Languages One Voice on Wednesday, August 28th, 6 PM at 6896 Laurel St. NW, 20012 on the 56-year Anniversary of the March on Washington to oppose the opening of a detention center for migrant children. Be sure to also sign the petition here and pass it along through your networks!

2. Demand the DC Jail stop collaborating with ICE!
A Washington City Paper article last week showed that the DC Jail is actively cooperating with ICE to take immigrants away from their families and community. Please support our allies at Sanctuary DMV and contact your DC Councilmembers and demand action to end all cooperation between the DC Jail and ICE!
