Friend,
Happy New Year!
As we head into 2026, we want to pause and thank you for being part of this movement — a movement whose strength has always come from connection, care, and our shared determination to keep one another safe and alive.
For decades, when institutions fell short, you showed up.
Long before naloxone was stocked in hospitals or schools, it was this movement that helped make sure it reached the hands of those who needed it most — so they didn’t die of preventable overdose. Long before syringe service programs were recognized for reducing the spread of disease, this movement was already helping — doing the work quietly, consistently, and with love. And long before states began to roll back marijuana criminalization, our movement was fighting to end the arrests, the lifelong consequences, and the stigma that never should have existed in the first place.
We’ve done all of this with limited resources, because we believe our communities are worth protecting — and because we know a health-based approach to drugs is what saves lives, not the failed drug war.
As we look ahead, your commitment reminds us that change doesn’t just come from policy shifts or court decisions. It comes from people — from you — choosing health over punishment, compassion over fear, and real solutions over endless cycles of criminalization.
Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for believing in a world rooted in dignity, safety, and care. And thank you for continuing to show up when it matters most. Here’s to a 2026 built on hope, courage, and community.
