We just wrapped up 2025, the first year of the Transparent Election Initiative.

Thanks to over 10,000 new friends we’ve made since we launched, we’ve taken several steps towards rendering Citizens United irrelevant in Montana.

I wanted to thank you, as well as our partners from both sides of the aisle, for their support of our mission. Every person who helps us get out the word brings us one step closer to victory. If your loved ones haven’t had a chance to check us out yet, our website has a lot of useful information:

We’re still waiting on answers from the state about our ballot initiative paperwork. In the meantime, we’re planning more volunteer trainings, devising a signature collection campaign, and getting the word out about how we’re going to free our state of undue corporate influence in our elections. There’s no time to lose.

Every single contribution has given us the strength to carry on though every hurdle thrown our way, and we anticipate there will be more. Turns out billionaires don’t appreciate that we’re trying to dismantle the dark money loophole that allows them to flood our elections with money. Who knew?

So thank you, John, for everything. I promise we’ll keep you in the loop throughout 2026. This year, we’re going to defeat Citizens United.
