Dear friend,
As we start a new year, Eben, Teddy, Eliza and I want to wish you a 2026 that is filled with hope, health and happiness!
Our family continues to thrive: Teddy is now in 7th grade and Eliza is in 2nd, and both are loving their schools and sports. Eben and I especially valued our time during the holiday season to be with our families and friends.
The challenges of the past year — federal layoffs, detention of our immigrant neighbors, a government shutdown and more — make me even more grateful to live in Maryland and even more resolved to do the work of being a strong advocate for families, small businesses and our diverse communities as state Comptroller. I am grateful to you for your compassion for one another and for your support of me and our shared work! I know that Maryland’s best days are ahead — because of the efforts of people like you.
Let us continue to uplift one another in the year to come and beyond!
Keep in touch and be well!
From all of us: Happy New Year!
- Brooke, Eben, Teddy and Eliza
