Press Secretary McEnany’s statement was completely insane -- and so is the idea of putting millions of teachers and families in harm’s way just because Trump wants us to pretend we’re further along in our recovery than we really are.
The good news is, we’re less than 4 months away from a chance to rebuke the Trump administration’s anti-science rhetoric. Joe Biden has vowed to lead based on science, heed the counsel of experts like Dr. Fauci, and treat teachers and students with the compassionate, safety-based approach they deserve. We can’t wait for an administration that values sanity again -- but if voters don’t make their voices heard, we won’t get one. So please, tell us now:
