John,

I know a lot of groups are asking you for money right now, even at a time
when it seems like the Democratic Party is failing to win or deliver. I
know it can be frustrating if you’re chipping in, but you aren’t seeing
the results you want to see.

Here’s what’s different about Leaders We Deserve: We are recruiting a
brand new wave of young leaders to come in and fight the worst of Trump’s
agenda AND show the positive, youthful, and modern direction we need for
the party’s future.

Think of it this way, John — this
is our chance to reset the Democratic Party.

But there’s no way around it. We cannot do this work without grassroots
support.

Unlike the other side, we don’t have a legion of corporate special
interests ready to finance our efforts. There is no one waiting in the
wings with a $5 million check.

Instead, we’re building this movement $5, $10, and $25 at a time. Some
folks may give more when they’re able — and at the end of the day, it
really adds up.

That’s why I’m writing to you today,
John. We need people like you — people who
understand that the Democratic Party needs a reset — to join us in the
fight.
