Dear john,

As we close out 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on a few accomplishments for Georgia's Fighting Fifth Congressional District, and what's at stake for the year ahead.

This year, I was thrilled to secure more than $22 billion in federal grant dollars for communities corner to corner of our district. These are investments that mean safer roads, stronger community institutions, and real resources flowing into neighborhoods that have historically seen underinvestment. These funds aren't abstract wins; they show up in classrooms, clinics, and local projects that help families thrive.

We also helped put dollars right back in your pocket. My team returned $1,031,722.31 to constituents through casework assistance. This is money people were owed but couldn't access without help navigating federal agencies. At a time when budgets are stretched thin, I know how much this matters. I've heard your stories and will always be here to help.

I also take seriously responding to your questions about my work in Washington. We sent 58,542 responses to your calls, emails, and letters. I also met many of you in-person or on the phone during 3 town hall events and more than 39 'Congress in Your Community' events. Hearing directly from you helps guide my work in Congress and helps me keep your priorities front and center.

The best policy is built alongside the people who are closest to its impact. In 2025 I held 467 meetings with advocates and stakeholders. I began my work as an organizer and recognize how important these meetings are to shape how we legislate, fight back, and move the needle forward.

And speaking of policy, I introduced 35 bills, co-sponsored 286, and passed one in the House before the end of the year! My legislation focused on lowering costs, housing affordability, voting rights and expanding opportunity. Each bill introduced represents a commitment to fight for you, no matter who controls Congress or the White House.

Now, we're at a critical moment. Today, enhanced ACA tax credits are set to expire thanks to Donald Trump and House Republicans who chose this path. Their choices have raised health care premiums and destroyed affordable health care for families across the Fighting Fifth and around the country. Democrats have been fighting for months to save these critical tax credits, and because of our work we will have an up-or-down vote on restoring them in early January. I'm ready for the fights ahead in 2026--to protect health care, lower costs, and deliver on the promise of America for everyone, no matter your ZIP code or bank account

It is the honor of my life to serve the #FightingFifth and this year was no exception. Have a safe and happy New Year.

Yours for the people,
