# [#]John,

The Trump Administration is still barreling ahead with its plan to open vast stretches of California’s coastline to new offshore drilling for the first time in more than 40 years.

Jared Huffman is leading the charge to stop it.

This month, he joined with his fellow California Democrats to condemn this reckless plan and demand it be withdrawn immediately. And, as the Ranking Member of the Natural Resources Committee, he’s pushing hard for a permanent ban so no president - Trump or otherwise - can ever sell out our coast again.

But here’s the truth we can’t ignore: while Jared is fighting like hell to protect our coastline, our environment, and our coastal economy, Trump’s allies are already gearing up to silence his voice and expand their foothold in Congress.

And that brings us to the moment we’re in right now: our final FEC deadline of the year.

How we close out 2025 will determine whether we enter the new year strong enough to withstand the far-right attacks that are coming. We know they’ll pour millions into trying to undermine Jared’s hard-fought progress, silence his environmental leadership, and roll back critical protections.

We can’t afford to fall behind. If we want Jared to keep leading the fights to stop offshore drilling, defend public lands, protect clean water, and push back on MAGA extremism - we need to show real grassroots strength before this deadline hits.

Will you chip in $10, $25, or whatever you can to help us finish the year strong and protect Jared’s work in 2026? [[link removed]]If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately.

Every oil spill we’ve lived through - from Santa Barbara to Refugio to Huntington Beach - proves exactly what’s at stake. Our coastline isn’t a political bargaining chip. It’s home to millions of Californians, a $51 billion economic engine, and one of the most ecologically unique regions on the planet.

Jared is fighting to make sure it stays that way. But he can’t do it alone, and he certainly can’t do it on a shoestring while Big Oil and MAGA groups dump money into beating us.

Let’s close out the year with a statement they can’t ignore.

Chip in today to fuel Jared’s work and help us enter 2026 stronger than ever: [[link removed]]

Thank you for standing with us at this critical moment.
