Tomorrow begins election year, and my team will meet to evaluate our fundraising progress and decide on our plan for this critical stretch of the campaign.
Kathy Hochul has made it clear she is against you. She collects checks through back room deals, and refuses to listen to struggling New Yorkers, just because you can’t afford her attention.
But forget about that for just a moment, because I want to talk to you about why I’m even running for governor to begin with.
In one of the wealthiest states 1 in 4 New Yorkers can’t afford basic necessities, whether it’s housing, healthcare, or food.
The status quo is broken. While Hochul signals her allegiance to the oligarchs , I’m doubling down on my allegiance to the 20 million New Yorkers being left behind. I am running to fight for affordable housing, accessible healthcare, and universal child care.
Most New Yorkers don’t know better things are possible. That’s why we need the resources to win.
What we raise tonight dictates how many voters we can reach. Political campaigns are expensive — and too often that means the status quo is able to skate by without a real challenge.
I won’t lie to you: challenging the establishment is an uphill battle, but I know I am not alone. I have supporters like you by my side. And there are countless more across the state who are hungry for change.
Some of them are chipping in right now, helping us meet tonight’s deadline. We’re hoping you will join, and that we will crush our goal before election year starts.
