It's 5:00 p.m. ET on December 31, and our fundraising dashboard says we need to raise $35,572 before midnight to close our December fundraising shortfall.
We'll be honest: We’re worried.
Not because MoveOn members don't care—far from it. But because after a year like this one, we understand if you're exhausted. 2025 has been relentless. Every week brought a firehose of attacks from Trump and his MAGA henchmen—threatening our communities, gutting democratic institutions, rolling back decades of hard-won civil rights, labor, consumer, and environmental protections, and targeting their critics, whether journalists or activists. It's been hard to keep up, let alone keep fighting.
But here's what we also saw this year: MoveOn members showed up. You protested. You called your representatives. Again and again and again. You organized your neighbors. You didn't give up.
And that's exactly why we need to close this fundraising gap tonight.

The midterms in 2026 are our best shot at creating a true check on Trump's power—and ensuring that we still have free and fair elections. The organizing work that determines whether we can pull that off starts in January. Not in the fall. In January.
MoveOn’s ambitious midterm elections plan builds on critical lessons from 2024, successes in 2025, and is both data-driven and innovative. And, perhaps most importantly, it's grounded in meeting people where they're at and connecting with and engaging them—not just to stop Trump and MAGA but to win power for working people and build a future where everyone can thrive.
And it includes preparing for Trump attempting to delegitimize the election results that he doesn't like.
