I won’t mince my words, we are facing two crises: a public health and an economic crisis. The health crisis is COVID-19. Our economic crisis is our small businesses that have been severely affected by this pandemic.

Small businesses are Michigan’s economic engine. There are 1.8 million small business employees in Michigan (that means 49.2% of Michigan employees work for small businesses). As we recover from this pandemic, making sure that small businesses recover and have the chance to flourish is critical to the future of our state. This is why I’m so proud that I’ve been endorsed by the Small Business Association of Michigan.

Small businesses know that I will have their back and advocate for them in Lansing. If you have my back, join them in supporting me with a contribution of $15, $25, $50 or whatever you can spare today. ([link removed])

When I first ran for office, and as a small business owner myself, I knew that small businesses needed help navigating regulations and accessing the resources they need to grow and succeed. I’ve worked tirelessly to introduce legislation that will undoubtedly improve entrepreneurship and small business growth. We have cancelled our in-person fundraising events until we can meet again safely, which makes email fundraising more important than ever.
