John,
Today is the day to call your senators at 844-402-1001. Make that call twice – once for each senator. Tell them to support at least $25 billion in financial support for our public Postal Service.
This has never been more serious! For months we have been calling for support for the Postal Service in these extraordinary times, but we have seen no action on the part of the U.S. Senate.
It is time for our Senators to support postal workers.

Or you can dial the APWU Legislative Hotline at 844-402-1001.
Tell them to support emergency Coronavirus funding for the Postal Service of at least $25 billion. That aid will make up for projected lost revenue and added expenses due to the pandemic induced economic crisis.
Our Senators must hear our voices. We are starting to see the effects of this crisis on the Postal Service already. The new Postmaster General is using it as an excuse to push through damaging policies within the USPS.
These initial actions include reducing hours in retail units including Saturday closings, slowing down service, further removal of mail processing equipment, arbitrarily reducing work hours and eliminating overtime. With an already understaffed operation, reducing hours and overtime can only lead to severely delayed mail and packages.
We will not accept these attacks on the people’s Post Office and the first stage to fighting back is to ensure that the Postal Service has adequate funding to get us through this crisis.
That won’t happen without you.
Make your phone call now by clicking here or dialing the APWU Legislative Hotline at 844-402-1001.
