As the year comes to a close, we are just $4,607 from our $250,000 end-of-year goal - and we need your help to close out 2025 in a meaningful way!

** Help us celebrate our top 2025 achievements:
------------------------------------------------------------

1. Our Keepers of the Earth Fund ([link removed]) supported 65 projects in 26 countries on issues related to land defense and autonomy; climate change resilience, language, cultures, and the transmission of Indigenous knowledge; food sovereignty and Indigenous economies; and the various forms of resistance to mining for the energy transition, totaling $531,000.

2. Our Indigenous Community Media Fund ([link removed]) distributed $502,000 to 63 Indigenous communication projects that are benefitting Indigenous Peoples in 29 countries.

3. We distributed $36,634 in funding to Indigenous partners to support advocacy-related work, including safety measures for defenders, water testing in areas violated by mining, community meetings, and more.

4. 160 Indigenous partners participated in 6 events supporting pathways for Indigenous communities to share and exchange.

5. 19 Indigenous women communicators from various regions of Mexica, in addition to two radio broadcaster from Bolivia, gathered to attend the S ([link removed]) ixth Gathering of Indigenous Women Broadcasters ([link removed]) in Cuetzalan, Mexico.

6. 63 Indigenous Youth Fellowships ([link removed]) were awarded to Indigenous youth in 13 countries with projects focusing on language revitalization, land protection, media and art, and reclaiming of traditions, among other themes.

7. We submitted 7 reports to UN mechanisms monitoring human rights in Guatemala, the US, Paraguay, Panama, Nepal and Russia.

8. Our Indigenous Rights Radio ([link removed]) program produced 157 programs related to Indigenous rights, Mother Earth, and issues affecting communities, released in Spanish, English, and 17 Indigenous languages.

9. We held 4 Bazaars ([link removed]) throughout New England, including two new locations during the winter solstice season at The Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts Boston, MA and WaterFire Arts Center Providence, RI.

10. An 11 member Cultural Survival Delegation travelled to Belém, Brazil to participate in COP30 and the Indigenous Caucus where they urged world leaders to take immediate action on climate change. ​Cultural Survival also launched the report “The Price of Green: Lithium, Ore and Grain Corridors, and Brazil’s Sacrifice Zones Built without Free, Prior and Informed Consent ([link removed]) ” at COP do Povo, an alternative space for Indigenous Peoples and civil society to discuss and reflect together on their struggles with the effects of climate change.
