Inclusion isn’t optional: Protect disability rights TODAY
As this year comes to a close, we want to speak plainly and directly.
People with disabilities deserve safety, dignity, and the freedom to live, learn, work, and participate in our communities on our own terms.
Across our network of organizations, disability rights advocates showed up again and again this year. Their efforts had real-world impact on individual members of our community in a variety of ways:
* Students received services at school.
* Workers kept their jobs with reasonable accommodations.
* People facing abuse, neglect, or institutionalization had someone in their corner.
* When rights were threatened, advocates were ready.
Unfortunately, none of this is guaranteed.
Across the country, people with disabilities still face barriers in areas like education, health care, housing, employment, and community living. At the same time, federal and state leaders have passed cuts to Medicaid, special education, and other programs that protect people from harm and help them live independently. When protections are weakened, people with disabilities and our families feel it first.
This is the moment we must be ready for.
Your gift today strengthens the national Protection and Advocacy network that responds when rights are at risk. It supports training, guidance, and tools for advocates on the front lines. It helps protect access to health care, education, employment, and community living. Our network ensures that people with disabilities are not left to navigate these systems alone.
On this final day of the year, your donation is more than a year-end gift. It is a statement that inclusion is not optional. It is an investment in a future where disability rights are defended. Donations especially help fund our federal policy work. The last year has shown us, this advocacy is needed now more than ever.
Please consider making your tax-deductible gift today.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference.
Thank you for supporting the disability community and for believing that our lives, our rights, and our futures matter.
With gratitude,
The Team at National Disability Rights Network
