Dear John,
I mean this in the nicest way possible: The people at Children's Hospital Los Angeles don't care who I am.
My family and I spent a lot of time at CHLA when my son Billy was born with a rare and life-threatening heart condition. Over the last 8 years, the doctors, nurses, and CHLA team treated Billy the way they treat every child, like he's the most important person in the world.
CHLA didn't save Billy's life because of what I do. They did it because of what they do. Every child deserves the best care. I'm asking you to help make that possible right now, while your donation will go three times as far.
Until midnight tonight, all our donations to the Children's Fund, up to $500,000, will be triple-matched by Credit Unions for Kids.

CHLA has saved a lot of lives and helped a lot of families, especially here in Southern California. They do groundbreaking research to make new treatments possible. There is no hospital more committed to their patients.
If those of us who appreciate the compassion and lifesaving care they give every kid chip in, we can reach our $500,000 goal by midnight. Will you help make the most of this match with one last donation before the end of the year?

After eight years, three heart surgeries, and more doctors visits than anyone should have to experience, Billy is doing great. He is a happy, funny kid who makes us laugh every day. The great people at CHLA treat him the way they treat every patient—like he's the most important person in the world.
We have just a few hours left to help CHLA save more lives and bring hope to more families. I hope you'll help out with a donation before the triple‑match expires.
With love and gratitude,
