I’m not sending this email out to millions of people. It’s only going to a smaller number of folks like you who haven’t made a contribution to our U.S. Senate campaign yet.

I need to ask a favor, and I’m hoping you’re someone who can help.

You’ve likely heard that there’s an official FEC deadline tonight for campaigns like ours. It may not seem like a big deal — and yes, it’s quite inconvenient to have to do this on New Year’s Eve.

But it’s a major test for the movement we’re trying to build. After our first full-quarter of fundraising, our numbers are legally required to be made public. People will look at them to gauge the strength of our campaign, but right now, we’re short of where I had hoped we’d be at this point in the day.

That’s why I am turning to you. I want to show that we’re only getting stronger just when it matters most. Everyone who becomes a Founding Donor before the year ends sends a powerful message just when it matters most.
