Today, the last day of the year, I want to send you a bit of a longer email. I hope you’ll bear with me, because I want to talk to you about the kind of Democrats AWP has helped elect to office.

Here’s what we believe at AWP, John: The underrepresentation of women in public office isn’t just a statistic. It’s robbing future generations of trailblazers and holding back real progress in our communities.

That’s why I started AWP. Now, over the years, we’ve expanded our call and support all Democratic pro-choice candidates who will stand up against the Trump administration to fight for women, children, and families of this country. They are the candidates we are endorsing, and those are the people who need your help today.

Our courageous Democratic candidates standing up to fight in the Trump era depend on AWP for endorsements and checks. And now, candidates are facing CRITICAL public FEC deadlines. Can I count on you to help us step up to the plate for these incredible Democrats (many of them women) as they gear up for the fight of their lives in the midterms? John, money weighs heavily on every candidate, but especially a woman’s ability to break through the noise and compete in races that were never designed with her in mind.

In a state as sprawling and competitive as Pennsylvania, with multiple media markets and high-cost battleground dynamics — running a statewide campaign is expensive for anyone. For our endorsed women, the financial barriers are especially steep. We’re rushing to meet critical deadlines by midnight tonight so we can start cutting checks to ease this burden on our women and other Democratic pro-choice candidates. Can we count on you to chip in? [[link removed]]If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Since our founding, your donations have helped so many women afford to travel the state, establish their electability by telling their story, and remove structural barriers that prevent women from building political power.

I am so proud of the work AWP has done to elect women to places of power in the Trump era. I’m even more proud that we’ve expanded our reach to help even more Democrats across PA and the country. I truly hope you’ll use today as an opportunity to stand by their sides.

Onward!

The contemporary political landscape is filled with progressive women who are running for elected office up and down the ballot, who possess a true vision of equality for this country's future. A Woman's Place seeks to support their efforts by providing financial resources to embrace this tongue-in-cheek idea of what a woman's place should be.
We help put women where they belong: positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.
