John,
It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that it's been less than a year under the Trump Administration. 2025 was an absolutely relentless year with seemingly daily attacks on LGBTQ+ communities, immigrant communities, public health protections, and many of the freedoms we hold dear.
But we are weathering the storm of anti-LGBTQ+ attacks, day by day, by staying connected to one another and meeting every attack head-on. We can go where the need is greatest because of support from people like you, who trust our vision and show up for us with $200 or $20. Every dollar makes a difference in the fight for LGBTQ+ futures, and all donations are MATCHED up to $25,000. ([link removed])
Thanks to folks like you, we are moving resources directly to people on the frontlines of the LGBTQ+ South through grant rounds that support queer artists, healing practitioners, and K-12 and college students who lost their LGBTQ+ school programs and are creating new ones.
This year, the Trans Youth Emergency Project grew to support families in all 50 states as attacks on trans youth healthcare have expanded beyond the South. With every move to reduce care access – from Trump's anti-trans Executive Orders to the Skrmetti decision to clinic closures in access states and proposed rules from the Dept. of Health & Human Services just this month – we've responded with clear information, tangible resources, and care every step of the way. Every time they try to block trans youth from medically necessary care, we will get creative, pivot, and figure out how to build a bridge so young people can get the care they need to thrive.
In 2026, we will continue to build bridges however we can, and get creative to support queer futures in every sphere of life. We are clear-eyed about the difficult years we're facing under this administration – there will be more storms to weather, both expected and unexpected, and I worry every day about what this time will mean for my kids' futures and the future of every kid in our country. But I've seen what's possible when we work together, dig deep to support one another, and lean into joy wherever we can find it.
This is a tough time, but I know in my bones that love will prevail. Before midnight tonight, please chip in so your support can go twice as far in helping us build the world we deserve in 2026. We can't do any of this without you. ([link removed])
Thank you for making this work possible, again and again. I'm so proud of all we've accomplished together, and know we will meet this moment with grit, resilience, and hope in 2026.
With gratitude,
Rev. Jasmine Beach-Ferrara
