As we move through Kwanzaa together, we’re honored to celebrate this sacred season rooted in culture, reflection, and collective care. Today marks the 6th day of Kwanzaa—Kuumba (Creativity)—a principle that lives at the heart of everything we do at Girls For A Change (GFAC).

Throughout Kwanzaa, we’ve reflected on each of the seven principles of Kwanzaa through a different book authored by a Black writer. Each story reminded us why representation matters and why our voices must be protected and uplifted—especially at a time when so many are challenged or silenced.

From purpose and collective responsibility to cooperative economics, creativity, and faith, these reflections mirror our work. GFAC programs are intentionally designed and co-created alongside Black girls to build confidence, close opportunity gaps, and create leadership pathways.
