Friends, I want to wish you a very happy New Year! I think we’re all excited to be turning the page to what may be a brighter year ahead.
For far too many, this year hasn’t been an easy one. There is much turmoil here in our country and all around the world, and I know that we all endure our own personal hardships day in and day out.
You’ve heard me say this before — as I learned from my mom, Kathy — if you want to be right, be a pessimist; if you want to do right, be an optimist. So I remain, as ever, an optimist about what we can do together.
That doesn’t mean I don’t feel frustrated, disappointed, and dismayed at so much of what’s going on, and what this Administration has done over the past 11 months. But I wake up every morning determined to do whatever I can to make things better for my constituents and everyone who is counting on their leaders to fight for them. I believe that it is indeed possible to get things done and create a brighter future.
As we count down to the end of 2025 and the start of a brand new year — one with major opportunities to make changes! — I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you’ve done to support this work.
2026 will be full of more hard work, both in pushing back on the challenges created by a reckless President, and in fighting to elect and re-elect so many of our great Democrats who will be on the ballot next November.
I’m ready for it — and if you’re able to pitch in any amount in these final hours before our last FEC deadline of the year, it would mean so much to me. Every donation goes directly to our work for Democratic victories in 2026!
