The year 2025 has brought so many challenges.  And for those of us who campaigned for different outcomes in 2024, it was worse than we imagined it could be.

We have seen the systematic and strategic dismantling of programs not only that people rely on but that define who we are and what we value.  Supporting one another in times of need.  Staying informed and engaged.  Sharing democracy and democratic values with the world.

As House Republicans and President Trump attacked Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Nutrition Assistance, National Public Radio; dismantled the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Education, the Department of State, USAID, and more, they also attacked our friends and neighbors here in TX07 and across the country–seeking to divide Americans and dismantling the American Dream.

It has been a hard year.  But today marks its end.  And tomorrow, a new year begins.  A year that brings with it the possibility for change.  Real change.

Now, we can’t change everything overnight.  But winning the mid-term elections is a critical first step.  By taking back the House, we can put a check on this reckless administration.  We can stop the enabling.  We can restore the checks and balances our government needs and Americans rely on.

And we can do it together.  

We are all working as hard as ever to do our part—from winning our election in TX07 to supporting candidates on the ballot in Texas and in competitive races around the country.

To do that, we need to meet the goals we set for ourselves—including our final quarterly fundraising goal of the year.

Your response to these deadlines and your generous contributions are so meaningful.  I’m so grateful for this team and all you’ve done this year to set us up for success in 2026.

In a time of unprecedented challenges at home and across the country, your engagement reminds us why we do this work, who we’re fighting for, and how much we can accomplish when we do it together.  I look forward to doing this work with you in 2026.  And celebrating our successful efforts next November!
