2025 is Coming to a Close
We made it to the end of the first year of an administration that is determined to erode our basic rights. They are pressuring the institutions that form the basis of our democracy, including the free press, our educational system, and public sector employees, to conform to their worldview or risk erasure. Just last week we learned that under pressure, a major news network pulled a story about the prisons in El Salvador our government is using to house deportees. Stories about lack of due process, pardoning known criminals, disappearing immigrants, and extrajudicial killings fill our daily news cycles. At the same time, there is so much disinformation we hardly know what or who to believe. This is by design: a confused electorate is easily manipulated.
In this context, Quixote Center sheds light on human rights abuses, offering information and not disinformation, and offers our supporters the opportunity to raise our voices with elected officials. We also provide direct humanitarian and development assistance to communities impacted by the policies of this government, including migrants throughout the hemisphere, and smallholder farmers at risk of displacement in Haiti and Nicaragua.
We cannot do this work without your help.
As we reach the end of 2025, please consider a donation to Quixote Center. Your funds will enable us to grow our lifesaving work in Haiti and Nicaragua, and to increase our impact on policies in the United States.
Thank you for your support.
