John, it’s the final day of our year-end fundraising drive, and the last chance for you to make a matched donation that will go twice as far to protect wild salmon strongholds, and help us meet our critical $50,000 fundraising goal. ([link removed])

When people ask, “Why should I care about salmon?,” I'm always eager to share how these wild fish are essential to protecting our planet. Millions of people and many coastal communities rely on salmon for food and livelihoods. Salmon strongholds are home to free-flowing rivers and rich forests, which provide clean drinking water, wildlife habitat, and natural carbon storage to slow climate change. It’s simple: protect salmon and you protect healthy forests, climate action, recreation opportunities, wild protein, and local jobs.

But now more than ever, salmon are at risk. Climate change is rapidly altering natural habitats. Foreign mining interests are lobbying to roll back environmental protections and develop in sensitive watersheds. Key federal agencies that we depend on to manage salmon fisheries and restore critical habitat have had their budgets slashed.

Together, we can overcome these challenges – but only with your help, John. We are in a unique position to continue protecting and restoring extraordinary salmon strongholds thanks to our incredible community of scientists, anglers, Indigenous leaders and community partners, and supporters like you.

Can we count on you to make your tax-deductible gift now? Every dollar you give will be MATCHED to go twice as far and power the critical work to protect wild fish and their home rivers. ([link removed])

Your gift today will immediately be matched and provide:

2X the resources ([link removed]) to monitor vulnerable wild salmon populations

2X the defense ([link removed]) of habitats threatened by harmful development

2X the support ([link removed]) for community-led conservation projects

2X the protection ([link removed]) for clean water and lush forests

It’s not an easy task to continue showing up to protect the natural world the way that you do. Your generosity today can ensure that we can continue to enjoy our wild fish and forests for generations to come.

For the fish,

Kim Kosa
