2025 was a year of significant challenges and extraordinary resilience. In a year marked by uncertainty, the strength of our communities carried us through—and continues to do so. We couldn’t have done it without you.
With your support, Egale was able to both respond to urgent needs while continuing to drive long-term systemic change, including: - Research: Published 10 research reports, literature reviews, and fact sheets, with an additional 4 ongoing research projects in 2026 and beyond.
- Education: 26,000+ individuals accessed the Rainbow Action Hub and its resources to combat anti-2SLGBTQI hate across Canada, and in 65 other countries.
- Awareness: Launched 11 awareness campaigns and created over 110 new resources, with more than 28,000 downloads!
- Legal Advocacy: Participated in 8 court cases and saw 5 case decisions - all in our fight for the rights and protections of 2SLGBTQI communities across
Canada.
Please know that your support continues to provide our team, and our communities, so much hope for the future – that there will be a time when we all can all feel safe and empowered to be who we are.
As we head into 2026 and celebrate progress made by and for our communities, I hope you will continue to join us in building a future where all are equal, and none are other – the ultimate gift of belonging. | | | | | To all of our donors, partners, and supporters – from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your dedication, generosity and support. In the face of rising hate, we were still able to make a positive impact. I cannot wait to see all that we can achieve for 2SLGBTQI communities together – this coming year and beyond.
Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and happy New Year!
