When he embarked upon his educational journey, Jahsere faced great difficulty adjusting as the first of his family to attend college. Between a full course load on Zoom, intense band practices and the general commotion of college life, he struggled to keep up with his classwork in that first semester.

But thanks to a Target Scholars Program scholarship, Jahsere was paired with a College Success Coach who supported him in finding the structure he needed for his academic journey. Jahsere’s now well on his way to becoming a cybersecurity entrepreneur, and he credits his success to the UNCF Target Scholars Program for allowing him to give 100% to anything he sets his mind to. His achievements embody the life-changing difference that UNCF can make for our students, thanks to supporters like you.
