Dear John,
In just a few short hours, the clock will strike midnight, and a new year will begin, a year that marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of America's birth certificate -- The Declaration of Independence.
Part of what makes the Declaration of Independence so remarkable is that it acknowledges that our rights -- including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness -- are given to us by God, not human governments.
Tomorrow, as the new year begins, Zohran Mamdani, a self-described Muslim democratic socialist, will be sworn in as mayor of New York City.
This is a leader who openly champions policies that stand in direct conflict with the Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, and other founding documents, undermining religious liberty, rejecting God's design for life and family, and denying Israel's very right to exist. The fact that so many voters in America's largest city embraced a platform built on such policies is a warning sign.
This leads me to ask: what kind of future do you want for America?
As we step into 2026, are we, as a nation, ready to surrender 250 years of history? Will we uphold our founding principles -- which are grounded in biblical truth -- or will we forsake them?
Family Research Council is standing for righteousness in our nation's capital and across the country.
And in these final hours of December 31, we urgently need your help to finish strong.
By midnight tonight, FRC must raise $5.6 million to help fund our work for the coming year. Thanks to generous friends, every gift you give now will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $2.8 million -- but only until midnight tonight.
That means a gift of:
- $50 becomes $100
- $100 becomes $200
- $250 becomes $500
But once the clock runs out, the match disappears. Will you join us?
MAKE 2X THE IMPACT
It is not enough to just be aware of the challenges facing our country. We must take action.
It's up to believers and righteous leaders to stand courageously for truth and steward the blessings of faith and liberty for the future.
On Capitol Hill, FRC is equipping lawmakers to stand firm in a time of confusion.
"Having the Family Research Council to guide us is critically important to being able to do the right thing consistently." - Rep. John Rose (R-TN)
Lawmakers are not the only ones being strengthened. FRC is also equipping pastors, ministry leaders, and families.
Through FRC's Bible reading initiative, believers across the nation are opening God's Word together every day -- choosing truth over fear and faith over compromise.
As one participant in our Bible reading plan told me, "Stand on the Word has brought the meaning of faith to a deeper level and how crucial it is to take a bold stand for God's truth in today's world."
People like these give me hope.
FRC is not only addressing today's pressing issues on Capitol Hill; we are also fighting the spiritual battles that will shape the future. We are doing this by investing in hearts and minds nationwide through our Stand on the Word Bible reading plan, the Center for Biblical Worldview, and our God and Government video series.
Together, we can ensure that the America we leave for future generations is built on faith, family, and freedom.
But we need your help to empower this critical work.
Tonight is the deadline to make DOUBLE the impact toward FRC's mission in Washington, D.C. Thanks to a generous $2.8 million challenge match, your gift can go twice as far to help. Time is running out -- can I count on you to stand with us?
LAST CHANCE TO DOUBLE YOUR GIFT
John, we are hours away from America's 250th anniversary -- a milestone that will either mark a recommitment to our biblical foundations or a further departure from them.
I don't want to stand before God one day and explain that I had the opportunity to make a difference but chose to stay silent. I don't want to tell future generations that I saw what was happening but did nothing.
And I don't think you do either.
That's why this moment -- these final hours -- are so critical.
Please don't wait until it's too late. Give before midnight to have your gift doubled and help shape the kind of America we pass on to the next generation.
