As governor, Josh is working every day to ensure Hawaii is safe, healthy, and moving forward.
In the New Year, Josh and his administration will continue delivering for our communities, and together we will keep making progress on the issues that matter most.
Just in the last few months, Josh and his administration:
- Defended public health by joining 14 other states in the Governors Public Health Alliance and spoke out against RFK Jr.’s misinformation.
- Protected Hawaii families during the federal government shutdown by delivering millions in urgent food and housing assistance statewide.
- Opened Kīpūola kauhale on Maui, reducing homelessness and moving us closer to our goal of cutting homelessness in half statewide by the end of 2026.
- Took action to protect health care access by including $16.5 million in the 2026 state budget to cover lost Affordable Care Act subsidies if Congress allows them to expire.
We’re proud of everything we have accomplished together for Hawaii this year, and we hope you’ll stand with Josh as he keeps Hawaii moving forward.
