In this season for giving, I want to share an example of what a generous gift makes possible.
As Associate General Secretary for International Programs, I am in close contact with our team in Gaza. They have lived through a genocide--one that has claimed the lives of their families, their friends and their neighbors.
Support from the AFSC community has meant:
-Hot meals in times of famine.
-Fresh vegetables grown through small-scale farming partnerships.
-Drinkable water where water systems were destroyed.
-Hygiene kits for seniors and expectant mothers.
-Recreational activities for children and caregivers, and more.
