Of 749 mass shootings over the past six years, 60% were domestic violence attacks or committed by men with histories of domestic violence.

Here's just one more reason why those convicted of domestic violence shouldn't be able to access a gun. But, both of my possible Republican opponents disagree.

One is proud of his A rating from the NRA, and the other has been adamant about opposing red flag laws and doesn't support closing the "boyfriend loophole," which would prevent known abusers from buying guns.

Domestic violence plus a gun in the home means a woman is five times more likely to be shot and killed. Bexar County, where I live, has the highest rate of women murdered by their domestic partners in the entire state. TX-23 can't afford to elect another representative who will sell out Texas families for a check from the NRA.
