Tens of thousands of puppies and breeding dogs are living in misery in puppy mills regulated by the federal government because repeat offenders of the Animal Welfare Act are allowed to continue to operate, while the animals in their care suffer.
Congress and the administration are attempting to eliminate science-backed Endangered Species Act protections for gray wolves and grizzly bears, even as these species continue to fight for their survival.
Lawmakers continue to try and undo critical state farm animal welfare laws like Prop 12 just to appease a small segment of the pork industry.
Thousands of monkeys, rabbits, dogs and other mammals are being subjected to painful and distressing tests and research in labs around the country.
