The start of the new year brings a new semester and sweeping changes to the federal financial aid that 70% of UNCF students rely on to get their education.

The new rules will reduce grant amounts, lower loan limits and impose lifetime caps. But as our students adjust to new courses, routines and responsibilities, they’ll have enough on their plates without worrying about insurmountable financial obstacles to completing their degrees.

Since 1944, we’ve helped to more than double the number of students of color attending college. So in order to keep up that streak into 2026 and beyond, reaching our $250,000 year-end goal by tomorrow at midnight is key.
