It’s Hope, Bushra’s campaign manager.

Today is Bushra’s 28th birthday. It feels unbelievable when you think about everything she has already accomplished.

First gen z elected official. Community activist. Organizer. A determined advocate for working families. And now, a frontrunner to be the next congresswoman for IL-09.



She did not get here by luck. She got here because she works harder than anyone I know.

And even on her birthday, she is not slowing down.

Tomorrow night is our end-of-quarter deadline. Bushra is spending both her birthday and New Year’s Eve on the phones, talking to supporters and doing everything she can to make sure this campaign has what it needs to win.

That is who she is. Tireless. Grounded. Completely committed to serving her community.

I know in my heart that she is the best candidate for this job. If we can lighten her load, even a little, I want to try.
