John, right now we're up against the first critical end-of-quarter goal of my campaign, so I want you to know the facts around the state of our race to convince you to help us close the gap:

—TX-33 is one of the most gerrymandered districts in the country, drawn by Republicans to protect their power.

—I've won tough House races before. When I first ran for Congress, no one thought I could beat a 22-year incumbent – but I did.

—This district is my home. I grew up here, went to school here, and now I'm raising my family here. And I have a lot to give to the community that shaped me into who I am today.

—And lastly, I rely on grassroots donors like you to fund my campaign, not corporate PAC money.

Hitting every goal we set is what enables my campaign to remain competitive and fight back against GOP attacks. So when I say we're still $78,312 short of our FEC public filing deadline goal, I'm counting on grassroots donors like you to close the gap.
