Hello John ,
One of the things that stayed with me this year was how often candidates told me they felt the difference Stewardship Utah made in their campaigns. As someone who works closely with candidates day in and day out, I saw that difference firsthand.
Running for office is demanding, especially for first-time candidates. It takes time, volunteers, resources, and constant problem-solving. Knowing there’s a team in your corner can change everything.
Erika Carlsen, Council Member-elect for Salt Lake City’s District 5, put it this way:
“I felt so supported by Stewardship Utah, especially as a first-time candidate running for elected office. They showed up with what every candidate really needs: time, volunteers, and financial support.”
I heard something similar from Representative Andrew Stoddard, who told us:
“They have helped me in every aspect of the campaign, and even more importantly, they have helped craft and pass policies that will benefit Utah residents in so many ways. They’ve helped me on clean air bills and good governance bills while also providing incredible data and insight on bills in my committees.”
These are just two examples, but they reflect what your support makes possible. It reaches real people who are stepping up to lead their communities and gives them the tools and confidence to run strong, values-driven campaigns.
