With just one day left before our final FEC deadline of the year, I want to level with you about what’s happening in CA-45 and what it means for the fight ahead:
  • I flipped CA-45 by just 653 votes in 2024. That made this one of the biggest Democratic wins in the country, and put a big red target on our back. The GOP hasn’t stopped coming for this seat since.

  • I’m now one of the most vulnerable House Democrats in California. National Republicans see flipping this seat as a golden ticket to retaking the House, and they’re investing heavily to make it happen.

  • Four Republican challengers are already in the race. And now, there’s buzz that a high-profile Republican with deep donor connections could jump in any day. That would dramatically escalate the stakes in what’s already one of the most-watched races in the country.

  • Our end-of-year FEC deadline is tomorrow. Everyone -- opponents, operatives, and the press -- will see what we raised. Falling short could invite a tidal wave of right-wing money. Hitting our goal sends a message: we’re ready to defend this seat and the values we stand for.
