I’m sure your inbox is just as crowded as mine, and I’m sorry to contribute. I hope you’ll give me just a moment to speak to you directly and share what your support truly means to me.

Every day, I meet people who remind me why I decided to run for Congress: 

Whether it’s parents who are working hard to put food on the table, seniors anxious about the price of their medications, or everyday folks who are worried about being able to afford quality health care, that’s what this work is about. These issues come up at my kitchen table, and I’m sure some of them come up at yours too. 

This work is about one simple promise: that your leaders should work for the people they were elected to serve.

I didn’t come to Congress to chase headlines or score political points. I came here to deliver results for the people I was elected to represent, plain and simple.

And that’s exactly why Donald Trump and his allies tried to redraw Indiana’s maps — to silence this district and replace me with someone who would answer to them instead of to you. Let me be clear: I don’t answer to Donald Trump, or anyone else. My loyalty is, and always will be, to Northwest Indiana and the people who sent me to Congress.
