Dear friend,
As 2025 draws to a close, I can't help but reflect on how fortunate we are to be in the arena for America’s founding principles and history at such a time as this one, made possible by your partnership, your friendship, and your commitment to our country.
Our groundbreaking year is reflected in the accomplishments of our scholars and staff. Our network of scholars grew to 1,420 as we welcomed 24 Jack Miller Fellows and 47 other scholars. In 2025, you helped us to raise more than $10 million in support of scholars who have committed their careers to teaching America’s founding principles and history. Your support enabled us to partner in 77 campus events across the country, reaching thousands of students.
A record-breaking 1,102 participants attended our Founding Civics Initiative events for teachers, changing the model for how universities are equipping the nation’s civics and history teaching force in real time. Our Civics Foundations Graduate Consortium of schools doubled in size, more than doubling the content-rich courses available to teachers for continuing education. The burgeoning movement in civics education is reflected in the 95 organizations we partnered with for our programs and events.
These numbers are impressive in their own right, but are eclipsed by a multitude of smaller moments they represent: Teachers leading coursework on the Constitution and other founding documents with confidence, friendships and connections forged in the midst of a rapidly growing civics movement, undergraduate discussions that continue in the hallways after the reading group concludes, and young citizens reading the Declaration of Independence for the first time.
I am thankful for you and all our incredible supporters throughout the country—for your generosity and encouragement in the work at hand. It was a groundbreaking year, and I look forward to continuing that momentum as we prepare for our nation’s birthday in 2026. Thank you for investing in the teaching of our country’s political tradition. Thank you for partnering with us to sustain the intellectual foundations of our country.
May you be blessed in the new year!
Sincerely,
Hans Zeiger
