Amid all the tumult of 2025, one idea keeps floating to the surface—the importance of connection. At NPQ, that means connecting with our readers. Connecting people across the sector with each other. Connecting people with ideas, and ideas to action.
In this special end-of-year newsletter, we’re featuring just a few of the columns and collections we produced that kept us connected and in conversation.
This year, we launched Ask a Nonprofit Expert, a new write-in column designed to link our readers directly with experts in the field. Every installment includes real-world advice on thorny leadership problems—plus the reassurance that no one has to figure it out alone.
We curated two powerful collections of ideas and art for the final digital issues of Nonprofit Quarterly Magazine: Land Justice: From Private Ownership to Community Stewardship, and How Women of Color in the South Are Reclaiming Space, featuring the voices of Shirley Sherrod, LaTosha Brown, and many others.
And we kept ourselves grounded with our ongoing series We Stood Up, spotlighting powerful stories from everyday people pushing for better workplaces and a better world.
At NPQ, we know staying connected and engaged will keep our sector fighting forward in 2026 and beyond. See you out there.
In solidarity,
The NPQ Team
