I know we've sent
a number of fundraising emails since we launched our campaign for the U.S.
Senate in Texas. More than I would like — believe me.

And while I truly wish I did not have to ask again, that's what I have to
do in the hopes that you can give your first contribution before our
end-of-year FEC fundraising deadline.

As hard as it is to believe, the first ballots in this race will be mailed
out in a matter of weeks, and it’s going to require a lot of resources to
reach Texans before they vote. That means TV ads, radio spots, mailers,
and literature for volunteers going door-to-door.

In a state as big as Texas, it costs money.

We have a message that can inspire Democrats, bring people over to our
side, and also turn out new voters who may have never cast a ballot
before.

We just need the resources to reach them — and because emails like this
are the single greatest source of donations to our campaign, it means I
have to ask:
