Final 48 hours to turn historic momentum into more holiday magic for local nonprofits

With two days left in the 2025 Nonprofit Holiday Wish Catalog, our community has already raised more than $25,000 ahead of where we finished last year! That is thousands of moments of relief, opportunity, and care, powered by neighbors choosing to show up.

Now we have a chance to finish even stronger.

A $3,000 holiday match is live right now, which means gifts made today can go twice as far toward remaining wishes that are still within reach: equitable access to music and arts education, safety for survivors of human trafficking, essential furnishings for those transitioning out of homelessness... and so many other vital nonprofit wishes waiting to be fully granted.

The Wish Catalog closes on New Year’s Day, so this is the moment to help carry these last wishes over the finish line.

Thinking about mailing a year-end gift?

There is a change in mail processing effective December 24, 2025. The USPS is now applying most postmarks at processing facilities and these postmarks often reflect a date later than the date the mail was first accepted by the Postal Service.

Under the longstanding “mailbox rule,” the postmark date impacts the tax year in which your gift will be credited. Here are three ways to protect the accuracy of your mailing date:

1. Request a hand-stamped postmark at the USPS counter showing the actual mailing date
2. Use certified or registered mail
3. Electronic contributions provide immediate confirmation and ensure your gift is processed without postal uncertainties
