I’m sorry to be so direct, but tomorrow is your last chance to give and have your donation matched before the end of the year — and I wanted to reach out personally to explain why donating now matters so much.
It’s been a busy year here at CREW. With the second Trump administration in full swing, we’ve seen unprecedented corruption and threats to the rule of law in our democracy.
Trump has repeatedly ignored the Constitution, blurred the lines between his businesses and the presidency, abused his powers and weaponized the justice system against his political enemies.
Through it all, our team has been working tirelessly to hold the president accountable: exposing his constant profiteering, tracking his conflicts of interest, demanding answers on behalf of the American people and taking legal action against his administration.
As we look ahead to the new year, we know there are many more tough fights ahead for our team, and the truth is, we can’t keep up this work without your support.
To help CREW tackle the challenges ahead, a generous donor is matching all contributions, up to $100,000, through the end of the year.
That means any donation you make between now and December 31st will go TWICE as far to support our work.
If you’re ready to help power our fight in 2026, please make a matched donation today and DOUBLE your impact to support CREW’s work and hold the president and his administration accountable → [[link removed]]

Despite the many challenges we faced this year, CREW is proud of what we accomplished in 2025.
We sued the so-called Department of Government Efficiency for seizing control of key government functions without being transparent about who they are or how they work.
We filed numerous FOIA requests to demand answers about Trump’s memecoin dinner, his acceptance of a luxury jet from the Qatari government, his authoritarian deployment of the national guard to American cities and more.
We took the Office of Management and Budget to court for taking down its spending database and withholding information from the public — and we won.
We filed a class-action lawsuit against the Trump administration for unlawfully creating secret databases that pool sensitive personal information across federal agencies, which could result in removing eligible voters from the voter rolls.
And that’s just some of what we’ve done in the first year of Trump’s second term, John.
With 2026 just around the corner, our team is preparing for another crucial year in our fight to defend our democracy and uphold the rule of law — and we’re not backing down.
Our work is powered by people like you who are all-in on the fight for an accountable, ethical and transparent government. So if you’re with us, please make a matched donation before the end of the year and have your donation go twice as far to support our work → [[link removed]]
