Dear WEALF Family and Friends,

As the year comes to a close and we prepare for a hopeful new one, I invite you to pause and look back before looking ahead.

Over the years, who was the woman, or perhaps women, who believed in you, encouraged you, and lifted you up when you needed it most?

Now imagine having more than 30 incredible women in your corner, women who understand your challenges, root for you unconditionally, and genuinely want to see you and your business succeed. Imagine also having one or two dedicated champions supporting you at each step as you create new possibilities and new actionable paths to reach them.

That is what we do every day at the Women’s Enterprise Action Leadership Fund (WEALF).

WEALF provides women entrepreneurs with access to a powerful network of peers, one-on-one mentorship, and a supportive community at no cost to participants. We also provide a no-interest $10,000 loan to help women grow their businesses and build positive credit.

WEALF fills a critical gap for underserved women entrepreneurs in New York by offering small business loans paired with mentorship and educational opportunities, such as workshops and guest speaker presentations from well-known changemakers. With your help, we continue to prove that age, zip code, and ethnicity are not barriers to accessing the resources needed to grow a business.

Our loans are granted without collateral or a guarantor—requirements that often exclude women from traditional lending. More than 90% of our loans are repaid monthly and re-circulated as new three-year loans. An initial investment of $10,000 can result in over $48,000 being lent to six entrepreneurs over 18 years, with funds continuing to support lending beyond that. Founded ten years ago, WEALF has built a strong foundation and with your support, we will continue building momentum for the next decade and beyond.
