Over a million people are displaced by the ongoing gang violence and food insecurity in Haiti.
A UNFPA staff member shared, “We are at a point of no return. The humanitarian needs are enormous, and the situation for women and girls remains dire.”
UNFPA is working tirelessly to reach women and girls who have nowhere else to turn, training midwives, deploying mobile clinics, and supporting the few remaining hospitals still functioning.
This lifesaving care reached Minouche, who was 6 months pregnant when she was raped and beaten in a displacement camp.
She received care at a UNFPA hospital the next day, including treatment for a sexually transmitted infection, medical care for her injuries, and a vital prenatal checkup.
“They gave me health, medical, and psychosocial support. They saved my life. I feel alive thanks to the hospital and mobile clinics – they raise awareness and give us advice on how to cope.”
But without more support, thousands of women and girls like Minouche will not receive the care they desperately need. Every month, 50,000 women and girls are without access to sexual and reproductive health services, and 19,000 are without support after sexual violence. Will you please make a gift to women and girls surviving the world’s most neglected crises?

Displaced families seek care at a UNFPA mobile health clinic. Displacement camps are overcrowded leaving women and girls vulnerable to violence and food resources are low.
Thanks to supporters like you, over 22,000 women and girls in Haiti accessed reproductive healthcare and violence prevention services this year. Donors also supported over 40 mobile clinics and 5 safe spaces in displacement camps.
But severe funding cuts forced the closure of 700 safe spaces and cut the number of women and girls reached in crisis zones like Haiti by half compared to 2024.
As we look to 2026, Haiti is a top priority — and we urgently need to reach more women and girls.
Before the year ends, we have a critical moment to deliver lifesaving care to women and girls in Haiti in 2025 — and right now, your gift will go twice as far. Will you rush a 2X-matched gift today to reach women and girls surviving in silent emergencies with the care they need?
Thank you for being there for women and girls around the world.
