I am writing this to you on December 30th, and I need to be completely honest about where we stand.
I'm looking at our final fundraising numbers right now, and the reality is stark: We are $4,000 short of hitting our end-of-year goal. We have just two days left until the December 31st FEC deadline.
When I talk about fighting for higher teacher pay or protecting federal workers or securing millions for our local roads, I speak with the conviction that comes from the grassroots support behind me. That final FEC number, the one we are struggling to complete, is my proof of concept. It is the authority I take with me into every meeting in Washington.
If we cannot raise this final $4,000, we are sending a signal that our commitment is wavering.
