Dear friend,

What a year 2025 has been! To confront the huge challenges facing our country, we continued to organize locally and push to defend our values in Maryland. Thank you to all of you who have stepped up for one another – and to partner with me – across Maryland. Here are just a few highlights:

✅ I kicked off my re-election campaign! I’m excited about the work of reinventing how the office of the comptroller advocates and works for Marylanders, and I brought that message across the state on my Four More Tour – campaign events in 12 regions where I met with folks from every single county…. from Cumberland to Easton and Harford County to St. Mary’s! Thank you for coming out and thank you for your support!

This past year, we didn’t just push back – we also moved forward, making progress to ensure Maryland is a more resilient and inclusive state for its families:

✅ We launched and reinvented tools to make Maryland government more accessible and efficient. Our new unclaimed property search tool and BPW spending and contracts dashboard have already helped multiple Marylanders find money they might've left unclaimed and learn more about how government resources are used.

✅ We also stood with Maryland families every step of the way as we faced a government shutdown and rising costs across the board. Our agency provided tax relief measures to help anyone eligible recover after the shutdown. We also worked with Team Maryland to rapidly make other essential resources available. Finally, we launched our Earned It Campaign to ensure that all eligible families receive their Earned Income Tax Credit.

✅ Our agency released multiple reports, including an analysis of the impact of the federal government on Maryland’s economy, a report on rising housing costs in Maryland, an assessment of the state of our public school buildings, and, most recently, a feasibility study of a baby bonds program!

Every step of the way, my priority has been investing in the families, workers, and businesses who keep our state moving forward. We've also provided policymakers with timely and accurate data to ensure we're working with them to make Maryland a more equitable, resilient, and prosperous state!

None of this would've been possible without your support, so thank you! If you'd like to continue expressing your support and help us keep delivering results, you can do so by contributing here:
