Earlier this month, Oklahomans voted to expand Medicaid through a ballot initiative — making their state the 38th (including the District of Columbia) in the country to expand Medicaid and giving 200,000 residents access to health care coverage.
Later this summer, Missouri voters will head to the polls to vote on a similar referendum, potentially allowing up to 300,000 Missourians to gain access to Medicaid.
Roy has been fighting to expand access to Medicaid to close the health care coverage gap for more than 500,000 North Carolinians– if Oklahoma and Missouri can expand Medicaid, so can North Carolina.
