Dear John,

As 2025 comes to a close, I’m deeply grateful for your partnership with WRI. This year has tested climate action in new ways. Yet, it also revealed what’s possible when resolve is backed by evidence, collaboration and commitment to solutions that work.

Thanks to your support, WRI continued turning research into impact in 2025:

* We launched ** Global Nature Watch, the world’s first AI-powered land monitoring system. By turning complex data into actionable intelligence, it will help communities, businesses, countries and people like you use technology to *protect nature faster and at greater scale.*
* WRI worked with partners in the Western U.S. to create investment bonds that *enable the restoration of over 35,000 acres of forests* with traditional fire management techniques.
* Across the world, *WRI India’s research and partnership powered the investment of nearly $130 million in Bengaluru to build safer roads, especially for children and the elderly.* Globally, we found evidence that investing in climate adaptation pays for itself – more than ten times over.
* WRI is supporting major cities across Africa – from Kigali and Dire Dawa to Johannesburg – to *harness nature to reduce flood and water risks* , ensuring women who understand their communities best have a hand in shaping these projects.

Seeing real solutions take root around the world is a reason I remain optimistic. It's proof that science-driven solutions can deliver results that improve people’s lives, protect nature and tackle climate change at the same time.

And yet, it’s clear that the world is still not moving at the pace the climate crisis demands. The need for trusted analysis, effective partnerships and practical solutions has never been greater. *That’s why WRI’s work, and your support, matters so much right now.*

As we look toward 2026 and beyond, WRI remains committed to protecting forests, accelerating the clean energy transition, making cities more livable and helping communities adapt to worsening impacts. With your help, we can continue to turn momentum into lasting change.

*With just one day left in the year, will you make a tax-deductible gift to support WRI’s work and fuel meaningful impact for people and planet? ( [link removed] )*

*DONATE TODAY* ( [link removed] )

Thank you for being a vital partner to WRI. I’m deeply grateful for your support and look forward to all that we can accomplish together in the year ahead.

Warm regards and happy new year,
